Saint Joseph High School is widely recognized as a leading Catholic high school with a rigorous curriculum and vibrant student life, one that prepares students for college and career success. Here, students discover talents, passions, and abilities that will unlock future opportunities. For those whose family circumstances post financial limitations, a Saint Joe education may seem at first to be out of reach; however, thanks to the generosity of the individuals and organizations recognized below, Saint Joseph High School is positioned to meet the demonstrated financial need of every admitted student. Together, we ensure that a transformative Catholic education is accessible to all, regardless of socioeconomic status. Thank you for believing in our students, and for providing them a solid foundation from which to launch their future.

The Scholarship Granting Organization of Northeast Indiana (SGO-NEI)
The Scholarship Granting Organization of Northeast Indiana (SGO-NEI) offers a win-win opportunity for individuals and businesses to provide scholarship funds to Saint Joe students. Indiana offers a dollar-for-dollar state tax credit for up to half of the donation to the SGO. In the 2022-23 academic year, 121 students received SGO funds totaling over $118,000. In the 2022-23 fiscal year, donors contributed nearly $250,000 to the SGO, growing the amount of scholarship dollars available to students in the coming academic years.

Endowed Scholarship Funds
“The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”
~ Chinese Proverb
Each year, Saint Joseph High School provides approximately half a million dollars of tuition assistance to enrolled students. As the demographics of the Catholic Church have changed, and the wealth gap has widened, more Catholic families require financial assistance in order to remain in Catholic education. Saint Joe provides need-based scholarships to students through annual giving as well as funds generated through endowed scholarships. As our endowed funds grow, so, too, will our capacity to meet the demonstrated need of every Saint Joe student.
Donors wishing to establish an endowed scholarship may do so with an initial gift of $25,000 or more. Bequests made to Saint Joseph High School for scholarships will be applied to existing endowed funds, unless otherwise arranged. For any questions about endowed scholarship funds, please contact Bethany Burgun, Director of Mission Advancement at 574.233.6137.
